It's coming

I can't help but feel something bad is coming to this nation. Maybe you think because I've been writing a TEOTWAWKI novel for a few months now that is causing me to believe this, that it is affecting my judgment, but it's not. I have had this feeling long before that and if anything it might be the reason I started writing Joshua in the first place. I am not the only one that feels this way either, I know a lot of you do too whether you will admit it or not. Roberta X has written a very good post on it recently, short and to the point, and it sums up my feelings on it too. I know that some of this is simply the 2012ENDOFTHEWORLD! BS that is going around but it goes deeper than that. Our nation's economic and financial problems, a government out of control at all levels, innumerable natural and manmade threats, any thinking person should be concerned for our future right now. Maybe that's my problem, maybe I should just stop thinking about it so much. Maybe all you can do is prepare the best you can and leave the rest up to God, and try not to give yourself a stroke before doomsday gets here.

Does anyone else have a sense of having been through it all before? I recall having the same sense of dread back in the late Jimmy Carter years...

"prepare the best you can and leave the rest up to God"

That is all you can do. Good post.

I am a regular reader of your blog and I occasionally post with my own name but for this post I will remain anonymous. I have to admit to the same feeling. I don’t know what it is but it just seems like there is a cloud hanging over us all. I try to talk to my family and friends about preparing for coming troubles but most of the time I just get strange looks. I realize some of it is probably like you said, the 2012 mania. But it is more than that. I am just glad I am not the only one that feels this way. Thanks!

I don’t believe that you will get many comments on this post even though probably many or your readers agree with you. It’s just not something anyone wants to admit to.

Yep, I feel the same way and am preparing as best as I can and trying to get others to do the same. I was just a pup during the Carter years but I do recall my folks learning how to can food, they got my brother and I into a para military organization (Boy Scouts)and we moved to the country, had a big garden etc etc.
