People with guns collection # 12 - Originally posted Sunday, February 15, 2009

From my own personal collection!"ITALIAN MAQUIS WOMAN FASCIST FIGHTER FROM AWAY BACK

Italy.... Although the outside world has heard little about them, there were anti-fascist guerillas fighting for freedom in Italy as far back as 1927, while Mussolini was being praised throughout the world for making Italian trains run on time. They fought Italian fascist and German Nazis alike and are still doing it. This woman school teacher is one of them. She fights side by side with her husband in the 'White Patrol' among the snow-clad peaks of the French-Italian border.

Further illustration, if anymore were needed, that the ownership of firearms by private individuals is not about duck hunting. Nor is it about any other "sporting" use. What it is about is the innate right of human beings to defend themselves from harm by others. Whether that harm comes from individuals intent on robbing them of their money or governments that intend to rob them of their life or liberty is of little importance.
