"Myself at the kitchen door, acting up as usual - Feb 1928" This 20's gal is having a grand old time playing dress up with someone's (Hubby maybe?) police hat, coat and a very nice large frame Smith & Wesson revolver. This one looks like a .44 Triple Lock to me, or maybe a 3rd Model, too early to be a Heavy Duty though.
